Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer is an officer of Indian Defence Estates Service cadre of Civil Services and works under the administrative control of Director General, Defence Estates, Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence. Shri. Vikrant More, IDES is the Chief Executive Officer of Ahmednagar Cantonment at present.
The Duties of the Chief Executive Officer are as follows:
1. To exercise all the powers and perform all the duties conferred or imposed upon him by or under this Act or, any other law for the time being in force;
2. Prescribed the duties of, and exercise supervision and control over the acts and proceedings of, officers and other employees of the Board;
3. Be responsible for the custody of all records of the Board;
4. Arrange for the performance of such duties relative to the proceedings of the Board or of any committee of the Board or of any committee of Arbitration constituted under the Cantonments Act, as those bodies may respectively impose on him;
5. Comply with every requisition of the Board on any matter pertaining to the administration of the cantonment;
6. Subject to any restrictions, limitations and conditions imposed by this Act, to exercise executive power to ensure that the administration of the Board is carried out in accordance with provisions of this Act.

Since it’s establishment in 1879, Cantonment Board Ahmednagar has always tried to fulfill the wishes of its residents. Around three hundred employees of the Board are relentlessly catering various municipal services to 28986 residents (as per Census 2011) This website is going to add one more feather in the crown of ACB. The website is designed to explain complex jargons of Cantonment Administration in simple language so that residents can participate in governance actively. The website is also aimed at using the latest technology for solving day to day demands of services as quickly as possible. It has various necessary details like application forms and contacts of concerned officials. I must also stress that suggestions/inputs of the viewers would help us to review the application and improve upon it.
